Beautiful royal blue version of the classic red velvet cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 box white chocolate Jello pudding
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 1/4 c buttermilk
  • 1/3 c butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • **2 tsp royal blue food color paste
  • **1 toothpick-ful violet food color paste
  • Cream Cheese Frosting

Baking Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325ยบ.
  2. Oil & Flour two 8 inch round pans.
  3. In large mixing bowl beat all ingredients on low for about 30 seconds or until moistened. Beat on medium for 2 full minutes -scraping down sides as needed.
  4. Divide batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake 30 minutes or until cake spring back when lightly touched and separates from the sides of the pan. Cool 5 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  5. Ice with cream cheese frosting.
